Y!Q

by Sapphire (February 16, 2005)

Yahoo’s come up with something new: Introducing Y!Q BETA Basically, it analyzes the content of the site it’s on and gives up a link to relevant searches right there - “at the point of inspiration”. There’s also a toolbar version (demo) and a Firefox version.

I’m not sure I’m getting what’s the big deal here. When I’m reading, and I get “inspired” and want to search for something relevant, I plonk the words into the little Yahoo search window beside my URL window, put the results into a new tab, and I’m good to go.

But I may be missing something. Or, maybe it’s not for me, but a lot of other people will find it helpful.
