Yo, casino spammers
by Sapphire (August 18, 2005)
If you’re one of the folks who keep leaving a bunch of poker/casino type keywords in the form of a comment on this blog, here are a few questions you may want to ask yourself:
- Have I yet seen one single solitary one of these comments be posted on this particular blog?
- Have I received any benefit at all whatsoever from this particular blog?
- Is there some way I could learn to blogs without spam protection from blogs with it, thereby devoting my energy only to spamming blogs which allow spam to be posted?
- Do I have any reason in the universe to think this blog is going to post any of my future comments?
If you’re having trouble answering those questions, let me help you.
- No
- Nyet
- You’re on your own
- Nada
Your energy would be better spent elsewhere. Of course, if you really want to keep sending the comments, you can. And I will continue using my magic tools to prevent them from seeing the light of day on my site.
Or, hey, here’s an thought. You could, like, go to blogs and forums that are actually about poker and gambling and post your links there. Posting semi-useful comments on relevant blogs is a great marketing technique. Posting “keyword keyword KEYWORD keywords keyword” on some totally irrelevant blog may fool Google for now, but…
Oh, wait! I’ve been operating under the assumption you’re webmasters trying to build your own sites. But that’s completely off the mark, isn’t it? You’re search engine optimizers sponging money off clients to bring them results they think are going to make them rich. Because, you know, the minute your site is at the top of a SERP, you can retire (I myself have a couple of sites in #1 positions, so naturally, I own a small island in the Carribbean). Well, that’s what you keep your clients thinking, and how lucrative their ignorance is for you.
Whoops, did I just spell it out for them? Mea culpa.
