Upgrading to WordPress 2.0.2

by Sapphire (March 14, 2006)

I’ve upgraded several WordPress blogs from 1.5.x to 2.0.1 or 2 now, without a single hitch. Even the plugins that weren’t supposed to work, ended up working.

Until now. My freakin’ host went down in the middle of my upgrade! And I have to leave in a few minutes, so it’ll have to wait until I get back, assuming they’ve pulled their heads out of that tight, dark place by the time I get back.

Still. I’m loving the new WordPress. It’s working better, working faster, loading faster. Even the WYSIWYG editor, which I doubted I’d like, is doing great things I love. For example, anything you copy from another site - text with paragraph breaks, bold headers, linked text - just plonks right down in the editor with no problem.

Now I’ll go back to drumming my fingers until my host comes back up.
