The MyGeek PPC Experiment
As I posted a few days ago, I decided to try out another PPC besides AdWords, and picked MyGeek. They have a few things going for them – click-fraud protection chief among them. You can block suspicious IP’s, and you can choose exactly what engines carry your ads. You can start with as little as $20, and – unlike AdWords – you can choose to spend no more than that, and when it runs out, they won’t keep sending you clicks. Supposedly. There’s something about a window of time there. We’ll see.
And now it’s time to post the potential downside, as I get further into it. The first one is, their stats are even less real-time than AdWords’. What is it with these guys and stats? MyGeek says their stats are current through the previous day. Right, because we don’t need to know what’s happening today…?
I’ll keep posting about this little campaign and let you know how it’s going.
