Technorati ignores requests for email support
by Sapphire (October 4, 2006)
I wrote Technorati last week to find out why their blog directory claims the B-2 Bomber blog doesn’t exist, even though it ranks quite decently overall on their service. Got no response. Of course, their phone line doesn’t answer, either, and the voice mail message says they won’t respond to phone messages for tech support - use the email form.
Got news for ya, Technorati! Ya don’t respond to the email form either!
So in light of Mai Tai’s sudden instant inclusion into the directory, I’ve written to Technorati again, asking about the Bomber. Or, rather, I’ve attempted to write. Once the form goes through, I get an error message:
Sorry
We couldn’t complete your search because we’re experiencing a high volume of requests right now. Please try again in a minute or two. We’re working hard to make our search results better. Thanks for your patience.
So Technorati is just one more service that’s gotten too big for its britches, has become too important to a site’s success (thanks to people looking at their rankings to determine the value of your site), and become not worth the trouble.
