Giving up on CrispAds

Date January 5, 2008

The new owners of CrispAds are just so unresponsive, I think I have to give up on them. I was earning a decent little chunk of change that I thought might turn into some actual money down the line, but over the holidays they changed their interface so I can no longer see my earnings.  [...]

Dear CrispAds: mind telling your publishers what you’re doing?

Date December 20, 2007

It’s funny. I was going to log in this morning and announce that CrispAds is beating AdBrite for me hands down. Then… the page where I normally log into CrispAds is gone, replace by some other page that doesn’t have my correct stats. And my ads are MIA on my sites.
Was there an email about [...]

CrispAds’ response

Date October 1, 2007

I did get a response from CrispAds. They don’t know why my emails sent via their contact form didn’t get answered, but are looking into it. So if you’re having trouble with them, skip that online form and send a real email to support@… and you should get an answer within a few hours.
They explained [...]

Is anyone getting paid by CrispAds?

Date October 1, 2007

I still haven’t received a reply to my query about when CrispAds is going to pay me, and why they haven’t paid me in accord with their FAQ. In my experience, that either means the company doesn’t know how to read email, or they’re not paying. And if they’re inept at reading email, well, that’s [...]

CrispAds: not paying and not answering emails

Date September 26, 2007

Once upon a time, CrispAds paid like clockwork. Then they stopped paying altogether. I made many efforts to contact them, to no avail. Then CrispAds was sold to a new owner, who actually paid me my balance. So I started using them again.
Their FAQ still says you get paid at the end of the following [...]

Dumping Azoogle for CrispAds

Date August 17, 2007

I exchanged some emails with my Azoogle account manager. I got a good explanation as to why I was getting clicks on campaigns I hadn’t signde up for (international visitors get redirected to those when they’re in countries that can’t participate in the offer I signed up for). I also got some reasonable suggestions about [...]

Adsense sucks (for me); CrispAds much better

Date July 30, 2007

I tested AdSense Link units on one of my sites recently. I got one click almost immediately and thought that was a good sign. But no, the first click was also the last click I got. I replaced it all with CrispAds, and the clicks are eeking in, which is all I can expect from [...]

Stuff I’ve been doing

Date June 28, 2007

It’s been a productive week.
I changed all my blog email subscriptions from FeedBurner to FeedBlitz (which is also provided through FeedBurner). They just look nicer, have more options for your readers, etc.
I finally sold a BlogAds ad on B-2 Bomber. I think that’s the ideal network for that site, since the site’s focus is on [...]

Burst Media ads flop, CrispAds already making money

Date June 15, 2007

If there is a way to make money with Burst Media, I just don’t know what it is. I have it running on two sites for two days, and I didn’t earn a penny. Then I changed it to rotating with other ads I could actually make money on, and I’ve made a whole penny [...]

Goodbye AdBrite, hello… CrispAds?

Date June 12, 2007

I’m finally finishing out my last set of auto-renew ads on AdBrite and removing them from my site. I have nothing against AdBrite - it’s just that after a couple of years, the revenue is not increasing. What seemed like a good chunk of change when I started out now just seems like an annoyance, [...]
