Speaking of Stumbleupon…

by Sapphire (October 13, 2006)

Project Mai Tai just got a new batch of visitors from Stumbleupon. I had actually thought about putting it on there myself, but forgot. Looks like two people have recommended it so far, and already it’s sent a decent amount of visitors (for the piddling traffic I have so far).

Even better, MSN Live Search decided to index a few more pages, and even drilled down into one of the subdomains! I like the pages they indexed, too - the sitemap, one of my better posts, etc.

The bookmark rate’s jumped up over 2% since the Stumbleupon recommendations - I hope that’s a sign of things to come.

I’ve also put StatCounter onto this, because on new sites, I don’t always trust AwStats to give me the full picture. It seems fine once you’ve got steady traffic, but at the beginning, when every iota of inbound traffic needs to be analyzed and maximized, I prefer to have more than one source to check.
