Spammer IP List

by Sapphire (December 16, 2006)

I noticed this month that Project Mai Tai got more referral link spam - mostly porn - than any site I’ve ever started.  By referral link spam, I mean those sites that show up in your AwStats as having referred one visitor to you - and when you click to see who they are, it’s something obviously spammy like porn or a pharmacy site.  I don’t know for sure that these hurt you, but it seems that on a new site maybe you don’t want Google picking up on a non-existent relationship between you and a few dozen spammers.  And in this case, there were several dozen.

I traced each spam domain through WhoIs and was able to confirm that most of their IP’s contained nothing but likely spam sites - porn, drugs and gambling.  I denied all of their IP’s access to my site, which I know from past experience will prevent them from hitting me again next month.  I’m presenting the list of naughty IP’s here for you, but please note: use it at your own risk!  While these IP’s currently appear to hold nothing but spam sites, that might change next week, next month or next year.  But if you want to err on the side of caution while launching a new site, you might find this list helpful.
