Project Mai Tai hits Alexa, Technorati
by Sapphire (October 4, 2006)
Here’s another installment on my continuing attempt to launch a site in less than six months, and have serious revenue coming in before I die.
My new site got ranked on Alexa today. It’s not as low a rating as I would have expected: it’s in the 1.2 millions, which is higher than the B-2 Bomber was, until the other day. Now, please tell me how on earth that works! But I’m not complaining. Mai Tai has also gotten a very low rank from Technorati, and gotten listed in their directory, which is pretty interesting since the B-2 Bomber ranks quite high on Technorati, but no matter how many times I try to get it into the directory, it’s not in there.
Still no sign of it in the SERPs, so I’m concentrating on posting more today. I’ve got the Google sitemap plugin installed, and I’ve just added in my entire list of ping services. I’m not sure that makes a difference - I know it’s pointless on an established blog - but it’s worth a shot for this one.
