PR update underway, and stuff I’ve got to do
by Sapphire (February 20, 2006)
It looks like my sites are doing okay in the PR update. This one’s gone from 4 to 5, as did my “B-2 Bomber”. Some of my articles blogs gained decently, as did the directories. The new version of the directory for this site (same sites, but new software, and therefore new subfolder name with new PR) went from 0 to 3.
This is the first time in a while I’ve checked to see how any of my sites are doing according to Google. As grateful as I am for the loads of traffic Google sends to my B-2 Bomber, I’m finding my new visitor-based optimization philosophy to be sound, so far. I make sites that people want to link to, then Google traces those links and figures that’s the sort of site it ought to be sending visitors to.
How simple can it be?
I took a look at my priorities today. I have some offline goals (like writing a book, or two), but as far as my online ventures go, here’s the plan:
- Get 10,000 unique visitors per day coming to my “B-2 Bomber” so I can sell adspace for good money.
- Maximize what I’m doing with my articles blogs. I’m seeing some decent income potential there - enough to merit a bit more effort on my part, I think.
- Redesign one of my directories as… something a bit different. I’m not ready to spill the details until I’ve got it smokin’.
- Figure out what to do with my other directories. I may just leave them as is - not sure they’re worth anymore trouble than just basic upkeep.
