Playing with ads – mostly TextLinkAds and Bidvertiser

This week, I’ve applied to a couple of heavy hitting ad companies, and one of them actually wants to talk to me – I’ll let you know where that goes.

Today, I’ve been doing stuff with ads. I’ve replaced AdBrite with Bidvertiser in one space – I’m still waiting to see how AdEngage performs, and then maybe I’ll end up using it more.

I put BurstMedia Direct on this site for two minutes. Got an annoying dancing banner – the type that moves around and makes you want to hurt the webmaster – went over there to un-select it and realized there are only maybe three banners I can use from that site without dancing, popping or other forms of extreme obnoxiousness. Seriously: they need better advertisers.

Most of all, I’m switching my TextLinkAds over to single page from sitewide. I’ll be sure to let you know how that goes, too.
