Pheedo and Google Sitemaps
by Sapphire (August 12, 2005)
Minor updates on two things I talked about this week:
The Google sitemap thing is SO working for me. If your site’s already well-indexed, you may not see much of a change. But for a new site, this thing is da bomb. On this site, which I thought was well-indexed, I’ve gotten 200 more pages indexed since I put the sitemap on. One of my other sites has seen very little change (it was well-indexed), but I think that might change once I update it a few more times. We’ll see. My new sites are booming though - even the one with very few backlinks and pagerank of 0.
Now, about Pheedo… I have decided to stop using them for the time being. Bill did get in touch with me (after I blogged about it), and apparently they are revamping the site. He wants constructive criticism from me when they get it revamped, and I’m willing to give that.
What still bothers me is that I still haven’t been given a reason to think that if I continued to use Pheedo, the developers would be there for me if I had another problem. I don’t want my potential clients thinking I’m ignoring their requests for adspace or otherwise flaking out on them in some way. The potential for a situation like that remains with Pheedo.
That’s not to say I’ve been paid yet by any of the other ad networks I’m currently using. But I have had no trouble getting in touch with folks at CrispAds or AdBrite when I had questions or needed something changed on my account.
So, that’s basically this week in living color. ![]()
