October Earnings
by Sapphire (November 6, 2007)
My earnings fell a bit in October - from $424 to 401. Not bad - the drop was caused by BlogHer, which is having a lean couple of months. Interestingly, they do this thing I can only describe as communicating with publishers in which they, like, tell us they don’t have a lot of ads right now but have some big stuff lined up for next year. Even in a lean month, I’m making a worthwhile amount with them - and it’s the kind of paid advertising Google’s okay with.
Speaking of Google, my November earnings are looking hot because immediately after the big ol’ pagerank slapdown, I started making more. Problogger has a theory about why. Most of my months lately have started out with about $275 and slowly risen to the high $300s or over $400… this month I started with $311 the first day.
Clearly, this isn’t enough to buy a house and retire on. I do, however, have a plan. I’m building a tremendous amount of sites over the next few weeks. Over the next few months, we’ll see how it goes. ![]()
