Lighter Admin Menus just got even better

NOTE: if you’re sticking with Wordpress 2.3.3, do not upgrade Lighter Admin Menus! Stick with version 2.3 of the plugin.

If you are moving up to Wordpress 2.5 and using patches to fix where it took a few steps backward (but so many steps forward), say hello to Lighter Admin Menus version 2.5.8. This is a gorgeous plugin that reduces clicks by turning the menus across the top into drop downs. You just hover over, say, “Manage” and then select the item with one click below.

Version 2.5.8 moves the menu up to the very top, where the “Dashboard” link is, saving valuable screen real estate without compromising a thing for readability. In fact, if your “Settings” menu is as close to a mile long as mine is, you’ll be able to see several more items this way.
