Hiring writers
by Sapphire (January 14, 2008)
I realized within a day of posting my insane content writing goals for 2008 that I could use some help. Hired writers to the rescue! Right?
I’m not sure. How do you know that when someone sells you “unique” articles, they aren’t selling them over and over? Aside from asking people you know and trust, I don’t know how to get around the fact that any article not written by your hands is going to need to be tweaked by your hands just in case. And for that purpose, PLR articles and even well-written free ones provide all the source material you need.
Anyone know of a way to find really trusted content providers? Or how to make sure the content they sell you isn’t elsewhere? I mean, if you have to buy it to read it, you can’t very well search phrases online to see if that article’s already ranking for someone else.

I took the plunge last year to hire out some content writing. I found a really great writer. She was prompt, friendly, wrote terrific English and I had no problems (which was really nice, because I’m ALWAYS so paranoid). I’ll have to find her email address for you.
I know I should be hiring out more - but I’m constrained by my budget and then I’m also left wondering what is a good rate for a writer. I’m also in that conundrum of I can hire someone for 10 articles and then my budget sucks and I’ve got to wait another 3 months to do it again… I’m not sure how to balance it all out.
