Having fun with SEO

by Sapphire (December 1, 2005)

I needed a laugh today, and I got one - while submitting my sites to directories. SEO is so serious and boilersuit, but this site’s got me thinking “why?” Why don’t we have more fun with this crap? Why do we take it seriously, when it’s all really just fun and games?

Disclaimer: I’m in no way affiliated with the site I’m about to link to. Nor do I know that it’s a good site run by nice people. For all I know, flames will come shooting out your ears if you click this link. It’s just hilarious, so I’m sharing.

Directory called “The Deprogrammers”

Categories include, just to name a very, very few:

Those Little Dangly Things From Your Rearview Mirror
Months that start with February
That Episode of Star Trek Where Kirk Has to Fight Spock
Flying Deloreans

Under Health we find: “Festering Sore that You Need To Have Looked At, But It’s Emberassing, So You’re On The Internet”.

Under Business and Economy, we find “Underpants Gnomes”. Which, if you know the South Park reference, makes complete, positive, unadulterated sense.

Under “people” there’s a category for “Superheroes”. Dang, and I don’t have a home page anymore. :D

Under science, we have “Other, Pretend Sciences”.

And my personal favorite: the final category in Travel is “Wormholes”. :D
