Hailing Commission Junction, Yoohoo!

by Sapphire (August 24, 2005)

Troubles with CJ’s network are still continuing, two weeks after they went offline to… er, what was that again? I’m trying to build pages of product links, and here’s what I’m seeing.

  • Really, really slow load times on pretty much every page.
  • Timeouts or “connection refused” on many pages, including the login screen, their product links pages and their Ask a Question page, which is why I’m talking about this here - because I can’t write them to tell them about it!
  • “Product destination” links don’t work, so I can’t check whether a link is still active before adding it to my site.
  • Applications to new merchants timing out - no idea whether I’ve actually applied or not, because the response window never loads.
  • Reports pages still slow, but functioning.
  • Am no longer having trouble staying logged in.

Has anyone been in touch with them about this? Are they aware of all the problems, because the alerts they’ve given don’t describe every issue I’m seeing? Are they working on it? I’d get in touch, but as detailed above, I can’t. Does anybody have a support email address for them or something?

And is everyone seeing the same problems as I am, or different ones, or what?

I honestly don’t know whether my sales stats are right or not. I haven’t had a sale since they started this fiasco, but I’m only getting a couple of sales per month right now, so that may well be accurate for me. Others are reporting earnings being removed. And others who get sales or leads almost daily are reporting that impressions and clicks tracking seems accurate, but they haven’t seen a sale or lead since The Great Disaster.

This really bites, because I’d like to build my sites in time for Christmas, you know? Hell, I’d like to have a page load before Christmas.
