FloristOne independent affiliate marketing program

by Sapphire (January 5, 2007)

I was recently offered the opportunity to review FloristOne’s independent affiliate marketing program through ReviewMe.com. The florist/gift basket niche is one I’ve dabbled in before with little luck: the affiliate programs available via ShareASale and CommissionJunction all seemed to offer the same products and didn’t ultimately yield the results I’d hoped for. FloristOne offers a higher commission percentage than any merchant I ever worked with: it starts at 22% and goes up in tiers to 25% in months where your links place 900 orders or more. Their FAQ promises payment “within fifteen (15) days after the end of each calendar month” so long as your balance is over $25. Their business is centered on Canada and the US, so your site needs to appeal to that geographic audience.

Other benefits include real time stats so you can track the progress of your orders and no tiered affiliate program (where you refer someone for a percentage of their commissions). The reason I like the lack of a tiered program is that those additional little payments can add up and overtax companies, leading to payment delays for hard-working affiliates. The company has been online since 1999, but is backed by a florist company founded forty years ago. Their arrangements are well-categorized by occasion, by type of product, and by price. It’s an easy, quick-loading site for your visitors to shop, with all service or shipping charges listed clearly in the blurb for the product.

Obviously I can’t vouch for the company’s honesty with affiliates since I haven’t worked with them, but I can honestly say if I ever got back into that niche, this is the sort of company I’d look to work with.

Thanks for a nice review. If you do ever get back into that niche, we would love to have you in the program. All the best.

I’ve dabbled in the gift basket affiliate programs too - this one I might need to check out - 22% wowza. Also it might make a nice change to add some new content to the ShareASale/CJ affiliate stuff too.

Yeah, and it might just give you some content not every OTHER affiliate in that niche has!
