Finally! Avoiding PPC click-fraud

It appears the big SE’s still haven’t managed to get on the ball to prevent click-fraud, but someone else has: BlowSearch Offers Source Exclusion: When Will The Majors Do The Same?

What does this mean, exactly? I blogged about click fraud a while back, and asked why the big SE’s haven’t yet figured out how to help advertisers avoid click fraud?

BlowSearch, with a fraction of the resources of the major SE’s, is doing it. On their PPC campaigns, you can choose to block certain IP’s you believe are clicking your ad just to run out your budget. It could be a competitor, or someone involved in a paid-to-read program. These guys will cost you money, and BlowSearch is giving you a way to avoid getting hosed.

So guess what I’m going to go do as my AdWords campaign continues to suck despite enormous amounts of tweaking and experimentation? I’m gonna go check out BlowSearch’s PPC program and let you know what I think.
