Evil Host Alert: SupremeNetworks, ProductiveHosting

by Sapphire (January 10, 2006)

I signed up a site on Productive Hosting a few months ago. The company changed to SupremeNetworks soon thereafter. That raised a bit of a flag, but everything seemed fine. Now this guy has, apparently taken off and simply deleted everyone’s sites from the server.

I don’t claim to know what happened, but there’s a guy on Webhostingtalk claiming he was buying the hosting company from the guy, and the guy scammed him. If any of that is true, he’s made off with people’s login information and so on, so I’ve renamed my databases, changed username and changed passwords. Note that he sold the domain for a freakin’ $2,000. Honestly, if I was going to that much trouble to scam somebody, it would have to have at least 6 figures at the end. ;) But I’ve noticed before that sometimes people seem to play even dirtier where there’s less money involved.

Anyway, the guy apparently uses many usernames at forums, but if you see either of these on a post about a hosting service you’re considering, think again.
