Competition for adSense?
The informed rumor mill has it that Yahoo! is testing a contextual ads program that will compete against AdSense. Here’s hoping they do a good job of it. Adhearus and the other Google competitors may produce ads that look sort of similar, but the relevancy just ain’t there at all.
Related posts: I hope this works. Competition is good. No form of advertising (print, TV, etc.) has ever been as free from competition as Google’s had it for the past year. And I’m not complaining – I think Google’s done a nice job. But who doesn’t want options? Variety? Competition?
