CJ needs a laxative

by Sapphire (August 19, 2005)

Things don’t seem to be moving very well over at CJ since their big whatever-it-was last weekend that made the site read-only for four days. Now it’s not even read-only… it’s don’t even bother only. It’s just try to stay logged in, sucker only.

I had put aside some time this week to rebuild one of my affiliate sites using links from a new merchant. Naturally, that’s the week CJ gets a serious case of corkage, and it’s all I can to see my account. What’s going on, anyway?

Surely they have a robust setup for running the website - dedicated hosting or something nifty. On Monday, I figured they were just overloaded by people getting a look at the stats they’d missed all weekend. By Thursday, I wasn’t buying that one anymore. Now it’s Friday, and I really want to get to work, and they’re irritating the crap out of me.

I’m wondering if it’s whatever they did over the weekend that’s causing the problems?

And am I the only one seeing this? I haven’t seen anyone else complaining around the web (not that I looked really hard - I was actually trying to work).

I totally know what you’re saying! I thought it might just be me, but after logging into my CJ account - I go to my link partners… get html… and then….. NOTHING. It just hangs there and then says that it can’t connect. After about 15 thousand tries… finally I can get the code - but what a waste of time.

What a pain in the butt. I hope that they get this sorted out soon so you can get some work done ;)!

It’s been a little better in the past hour, so maybe they’re ironing the bugs out. Glad to know it wasn’t just me! :)
