BloggingAds
by Sapphire (April 25, 2006)
You probably noticed that yesterday’s entry contained an ad for “Danforth Diamonds”. As you know, I’ve been looking for new ad networks to use, and not finding any that really worked for me. Well, this one certainly appears to have potential.
I saw an ad for Blogging Ads, which said that if I submitted my blog and it was a good match, I would be given a one-time ad to post on my blog. This would create an actual text link from my site for BloggingAds client, as well as an advertisement and traffic booster. I thought what the hey, and submitted this site.
The response came within minutes: I was offered any of several preformatted ads, or I could create a post that provided an appropriate text link for BloggingAds’ client. Once I posted the ad and BloggingAds confirmed it, I would receive payment through PayPal within one day. Again, it sounded too easy, but I had nothing to lose. The site being advertised was clean - no backpages linking to porn sites, no MLM, nothing I mind my site being associated with. So I wrote back to BloggingAds and confirmed that I could just create a CSS box to put the ad within a post, since my site is not about diamonds. BloggingAds agreed, I made the post you saw, and they paid me within a few hours.
I won’t state what I was paid, since I believe rates may vary, but I will say I was essentially paid $1 per minute of the work I did. Not a shabby deal at all.
BloggingAds is a very new service, and I get the impression they would benefit from having a lot more blogs to offer their clients. And since my experience with them was rewarding, I do believe this could be a win-win for all of us.

I am going to try this service out, it sounds very interesting
Found you on NetDosh.com/feeder which was cool, means I am already getting the value from it
Will let you know how it goes

I’m really glad you posted this
I was thinking of different ad ideas I could use on one of my other sites… and the dismal perfomance of Google… they have the ads - the payout sucks sort of thing. I’m going to try Blogging Ads on my Empire site and see if anything happens there. It would be nice - since ads on that site don’t seem to do very well either… LOL.
Cheers!

I applied with 2 sites. Both of them were the diamond site that got sent back.
perhaps this is not what it seems? Maybe they ONLY have the diamon site, as it may be RUN by the diamond site.
A nice way to get back links at $5 a pop, essentially the cost of one ring would cover loads of backlinks. hmmm

Hello all and thank you for particpating in our program, Blogging Ads. I can assure you we are a separate company from the diamond site. We have other clients and we will be using bloggers for them as well. If you have signed on with us you will see this in the future. We will be adding an automated service over the summer to help the process as well.

Well, Dave, either there will be other client ads, or there won’t be. We’ll just have to see.
Worst case? It ends here, and we’ve all made a few dollars, and for not much, unless you feel your text links are worth more than BloggingAds paid. (In which case, you should probably be selling them on your own - that’s my ultimate goal.)
