AMJ hits the MarketingSherpa nomination list!

Thanks for the well-wishes I’ve received for making it to the voting list on MarketingSherpa’s Reader’s Choice Blog & Podcasting Awards 2006. It’s so good to see my little blog in the company of some very illustrious sites.
To be honest, it surprises me that this site took off at all. Sure, on those rare occasions I have some great insight or a hot tip, I share them. But mostly it’s just my little story - what I do, what works, what doesn’t, and what I’m going to do next. Maybe it’s a sort of moral support, though: I enjoy reading sites like Empress’ Building My Empire, and I miss reading Taking My Time Back by Nikki, which hasn’t been updated in a while. Reading sites by people who are ahead of you can be informative and encouraging. But reading the stories of people who are more or less on your level in terms of figuring this stuff out is rewarding because it makes you feel less alone.
In any case, I’m pleased to be on the list.
