AdBrite getting clicks now

The AdBrite links I’ve put up on both sites are starting to get clicks.

Interestingly, most of the clicks are coming from my “B-2″ site rather than this one. It has less traffic than this one, but it’s much more targetted traffic. I would have assumed that the CTR relates to how targeted the ads are to your audience. But maybe how targeted your audience is to your site matters: maybe people who are really engaged in your site and enjoying it are more likely to click. That makes sense to me: they know what an ad is, and that clicking it will bring you revenue. If they’re appreciating what your site provides, maybe that predisposes them to click the very same ad they might have just skipped over at some other site.

On the other hand, it could be a layout issue. My B-2 site has a different arrangement. To me, the ads are less noticeable on B-2 than on this one. Maybe less noticeable is a good thing?

Lots of food for thought there.

Be forewarned: your AdBrite clicks will show up a few days before you get credited any earnings. I’m guessing that’s a delay in their reporting process, possibly so they can verify that a click is genuine. So when you see a click but no earnings, don’t panic – it’ll show up.
