This is odd. About two days after Wil mentioned CrispAds and I mentioned how they ran off with everybody’s money last year, they sent me the last of my earnings via PayPal. Which begs a couple of questions:
Who’s running it now?
Is it actually working and active again?
If so, what’s the payment policy?
The payment came from [...]

I recently applied to TextLinkBrokers, who takes only "quality" sites and has a screening process in place. They came back at me with an offer. On two of my sites, they would offer links at a lower price than TLA or LinkWorth gives me. On a third site, they would sell links if and only [...]

The site exceeded bandwidth and went “off the air” for a couple of hours until I realized it and contacted my host and all that. It’s never gone anywhere near the current limit before, so this is either very, very good or… not so much. I mean, my traffic’s up - but not that much.
Looking [...]

I’ve taken stock of the companies I get paid links from - text links, scripted (like Adsense) links or affiliate links, and come to some decisions.
I’m easing back on dealing with companies that require you to have pagerank before they’ll let you publish paid links. Like /* and PayPerPost. Why? Because no one should [...]

Within a couple of hours of my sites getting approved for link sales at LinkWorth, I sold my first link. It went for $40 on the B-2 Bomber - which was the upper limit LinkWorth’s price quote recommended, and is about $15 more than TLA charges for those links. Of course, with LinkWorth, people are [...]

I was bummed out some this weekend, worrying that most or all of my /* earnings would be coming to an end with Google’s latest pronouncement on paid links. I read Terry’s post, and something in it kept trying to ring a bell, but it took a few days to sink in:
So selling paid [...]

I’ve got a lot of thoughts in my head right now, and they’re keeping me from getting stuff done. Time to vent them.
My next big project was going to rely heavily on paid links for monetization. I’m more than a little frustrated with Google pulling this crap now.
I don’t care what Google does to hurt [...]

…and while I was changing over my /* settings from sitewide to single page, it bumped up the price on one of them by $5. The only recent change to that site is that it got indexed in Google, finally (yes, Project Mai Tai) but it had PR for months before that, or else [...]

This week, I’ve applied to a couple of heavy hitting ad companies, and one of them actually wants to talk to me - I’ll let you know where that goes.
Today, I’ve been doing stuff with ads. I’ve replaced AdBrite with Bidvertiser in one space - I’m still waiting to see how AdEngage performs, and then [...]

At least once a year, Google announces that what used to be fine is now evil, and they’ll use their magic powers to determine if you’re doing something or not, and penalize you. This time, it’s paid links.
I can’t find it now, but I know just a few weeks ago they said paid links would [...]
