New AdWords Scheduling

Date June 16, 2006

I logged into my AdWords account today and found a notice advising me I could set which hours and days I want my ads running.
This is potentially awesome: if you notice all your sales tend to happen on the weekend, you could set your ads to start running Friday morning or evening through [...]

Further notes on JLhost.com, jlhosts.com…

Date June 13, 2006

…whatever they’re calling themselves these days.
I tried to cancel my account today, and the email address you’re supposed to use (sales@jlhost.com) is full, so my email came back undeliverable. It’s a little disturbing when a host makes it difficult/impossible to cancel your account in the way they suggest, isn’t it?
So I went to their [...]

Questionable Host Alert: JLhost, JLhosts

Date June 12, 2006

One of my sites has been hosted with JLHosts.com or JLhost.com since October 2005, and I was very happy with them. Never more than maybe 5 minutes of downtime, quick response to inquiries, everything good.
My site went down a few days ago, and stayed down. It’s on day 3, currently. When I first [...]

New CJ commission

Date June 11, 2006

Whoopee, I got an $18 commission on CJ yesterday! I can’t remember the last time I had two commissions in a space of two weeks, so I’m a fairly happy camper. Now I just need to start getting them every day.

Yahoo update

Date June 9, 2006

Yahoo sent me another email, saying I’m in violation of their exclusivity clause. This comes after the email I received two days ago, informing me that the clause only applies to contextual-based ad services - which CrispAds and AdBrite are not. Yesterday’s email claims that I have contextual-based ads alongside Yahoo, and that’s [...]

Clarification on Yahoo’s exclusivity clause

Date June 7, 2006

A few days ago, Dadscape pointed out to me that Yahoo Ads terms of service state:
For any webpage or RSS feed that includes the Ad Code, you agree not to display or link to any other advertising (including but not limited to any listing) that is mapped to or responds to the content of the [...]

Ebay helps CJ users keep HTML links

Date June 6, 2006

I got a letter from eBay recently (someone else posted it here on ABW forum). They’re recommending their affiliates with CJ not change their links until later in the year, at which point eBay and CJ will have come up with some solution that allows HTML links to stay.
As jmschmitt points out:
What does this [...]

Once again, CJ wrecks my plans

Date June 5, 2006

Remember that cool plan I had to just stick to the basics for a while, and wait patiently for the results to kick in? My theory was that it’s my preference for coming up with ideas that’s slowing me down on actually doing something. So I had this nicely outlined little task list, [...]

My blog is worth more than my apartment…

Date June 3, 2006

…according to Business Opportunities Weblog, anyway.

My blog is worth $80,164.68.How much is your blog worth?

I really don’t have any idea how they measure this, but it’s fun.

Double check day

Date June 2, 2006

Yesterday I came home and grabbed the mail. In it was my AdBrite check for the month, which was a bit higher than I expected. (Net-whatever earnings always through off my calculations.) So I sat down and made out a deposit slip, because I had some other checks I also needed to [...]
